History Of Animation
I really enjoyed this lecture as we explored the history of animation and the different inventions that helped in the evolution of it.
Zoetrope (1834), invented by William George Hornor (British Mathematician) was the first device to make static drawings move.

Disney used to this technique and applied it to 3D sculptures.
Rotoscope (1915), invented by Max Fleischer
Apparatus of capture, prior to this it was hard to draw/stable/constant/slow life-like movement.

Realist vs Anit-Realist
Realism: embrace of character, narrative, cause and effect, tends towards closure of test, affinity with industrial production techniques.
Anti-Realism: Surreal and incomprehensible to every day thinking. It is said the very first animation, creatied by Emile Cohl- Fantasmagorie focused on randon anti-realistic events.
