 Branding and Logo Production

In the following workshop we were introduced to branding and logo production. Normally in the company I worked for previously logo production would be for maximum a day, however, in the workshop we were taught differently, if you specialise in logo production then we were advised to atleast take a week in it. We were given tips on how to create logos. Since it was an open brief it was up to us what to create the logo for and I remembered the Logo for our Graphic Design and Animation known as Hudgda. I thought it would be interesting to create a logo that represents a rift between Graphic Design and Animation, where Graphic design adheres to grids, fonts and animation is more life-like and movement.
To start of the process I began to sketch concepts for rebranding Hudgda. Since the 'A' in Hudgda is for Animation I thought i could experiemtn with giving it a a more animated character look, while experiemting with grid style for 'GD' (Graphic Design).

Continuing from sketch to illustrator similar experiments but more refined took place. Experimenting with different ways to convey the essence of Graphic Design and Animation.

The following below is absolutely not the final logo, however, it is coming together and would make for an interresting transition from the previous logo.
