Willie Doherty: Belfast Photographs 2008


Willie Duherty, an Irish photographer is influenced in his practice through the Northern Ireland. His photgraphy expresses the fear, oppression and the unknown that he experienced on the Bloody Sunday incident. If you are unaware of the Bloody Sunday incident, also known as Bogside Massacre, it was an incident that occurred on 30 January 1972 at Bogside where British soldiers shot 26 unarmed civilians during the protest march against internment.
